America Feels Divided. Hope is the Way Forward.
Introducing the Hope, Not Fear Project

Rebuilding trust through courageous conversations, human connection, and the belief that
Hope is stronger than fear.

Real Conversations. Real Hope!

We brought Americans who disagree into the same room.

The conversations were hard. Emotional. Honest.
But they left with something that many didn’t expect: Hope!

America, It's Time for Face-to-Face Conversations

Joe Walsh

America is dangerously divided.

We must choose hope.
We must choose understanding.

The most radical thing an American can do today:
Have a conversation with someone they disagree with.

Former Congressman Joe Walsh knows first hand how dangerously divided America is right now - communities, friendships, families hating on each other and afraid to speak with each other - all because of what “side” someone is on. The American people are increasingly allowing hate, fear, and division to rule their political lives. We’ve forgotten one of our primary responsibilities in this democracy - to be tolerant of differences.

America is not okay. We have to get off of this road of hate, fear, and political violence. We have to instead choose hope and understanding. Face to face conversation is the way. The most radical thing any American can do these days is to have a conversation with someone they disagree with. Not a fight. Not a debate. An actual conversation. We just don’t do this anymore.

This is what the “Hope, Not Fear Project” WILL do. We will put people - from far right to far left and everywhere in between - in rooms all over this country and we will engage in conversations. Real, honest, heated, uncomfortable, empathetic, raw, respectful conversations. We’ll film it all, we’ll film these conversations and put the content out there for the American people to watch, learn from, and, hopefully, begin to have conversations of their own. Joe Walsh will lead/moderate these conversations. The “We’re Not Okay” 2026 tour will hold a conversation somewhere in America every two weeks. Because this is what America needs to be okay.

Support us. Thanks.

Hope is Stronger Than Fear. Let’s Prove It Together.

America feels divided, but our future doesn't have to be. We are rebuilding the fabric of our nation through courageous conversations and the simple power of human connection.

You Are Not Alone

Our anthem, “Man, I Am Not Okay”, gives voice to what millions of Americans are feeling right now. It says that Hope, Not Fear can guide us forward, and that we must stand together to protect liberty and the values we hold dear.
